Field notes
Written in the margin of the sheet. Kept short, kept honest.
I’m Luis Pepe Wilkens. I study informatics and I build systems software — the layer where correctness, failure, and performance all argue at once.
What I’m after
Small tools that do one hard thing well, with the reasoning left visible. Consensus that a team can actually operate. Benchmarks that admit their own uncertainty. Software that keeps working when the network doesn’t.
How I work
Read the spec before the blog post. Measure before optimising. Ship the smallest thing that proves the idea, then write down what it cost.
Off the sheet
Placeholder — replace with the real version. A line or two about what you do when you’re not at a keyboard: the map collection, the long walks, the instrument you half-play.
